Founded in 1982, Rocky Mtn Ropes had it's humble beginnings in a garage located across the street from the family owned Farm & Ranch Supply in Idaho Falls, ID.  The owners, Steve and Allison Geisler moved the business to Duncan, OK in 1987 where they operated until 1992.

While in Oklahoma a production division called Cowboy Cordage Inc. was started back in Idaho with the sole purpose of twisting yarn and making rope bodies which were then shipped to Oklahoma to be finished. Upon returning to Idaho in 1992 business began to flourish and has been on a steady growth path since.

With the purchase of Gator Rope Co. in 1999 and then the aquisition of Industrial Liaison, Inc. in that same year and then the addition of Magnum Rope Co. in 2003  our business has grown into one of the largest producers of cowboy rope in the industry.

Over the past 28 years The Rope Shop has developed into a group of companies ranging from the production of ropes to the import of rope and saddlery products from around the world.

With a world wide network of distributors and dealers for our innovative products, our companies have evolved into an international business.
